Who Am I?
My Name is David Bennett and I am a freelance Web Designer and Developer.
I Attended the University of Luton where I attained a BSc Second (Lower) in Computer Science. While I enjoyed my time at University, the broad nature of the course meant that I gained experience in many aspects of computing without going into any great depth for any part. After the three years, I realised that web development was what I wanted to concentrate on.
When I left University, I took a course in web development which focused mainly on XHTML, PHP and MySql. During this course I managed to expand on the knowledge I had gained at University. Not only did I learn these languages and programs, I also used Macromedia Products such as Dreamweaver and Fireworks.
I enjoyed these subjects so much that I took a job teaching Web Development as well as taking part in a Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) course. This also allowed me to learn how to build web sites using ASP.NET. This was all centered around Visual Basic.NET, however I have since tried my hand at using C# (C Sharp).
Recently I have been investigating the use of Asyncronus Javascript And XML (AJAX) in my websites.
During all of this, I have taken part in a number of web site building projects for a range of organisations and businesses. For examples of some of the sites I have designed, see my Projects page.
